Halloween Craft for Kids: Glittery Spiderweb Decoration (Plus, a Fuzzy Spider)

Halloween may be different this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t create some spooky holiday decorations to display in our homes. These glittery spiderwebs and spiders are the perfect touch to any glamorous haunted house.

Supplies:

  • School glue
  • Wax paper
  • Glitter

Instructions:

  1. On a sheet of wax paper, draw a spiderweb using glue. Make sure the lines are pretty thick.
  2. Generously sprinkle the glue with glitter.
  3. Let dry overnight, or for about 12 hours. If the center needs more time to dry, flip the web over to dry completely.
  4. Once dry, use the glittery spiderweb as a window cling, stick to a vase, or drape over décor pieces.

To make the spider:

Supplies:

  • Large black pom-pom
  • Small black pom-pom
  • 2 Black pipe cleaners
  • 2 Small googly eyes
  • School glue
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Cut each pipe cleaner in half. Twist together to form the legs.
  2. Glue the large pom-pom in the center to hide the twist
  3. Glue the small pom-pom onto the large one to make the head
  4. Glue on eyes
  5. Display with spiderweb decoration, if desired

Since these spooky spiders and spiderwebs are so simple to make, you could produce several of them to display all over the house. Get creative with how you arrange and present them!
