A Child-Crafted Father’s Day Gift Dad Will Actually Use

Father’s Day is fast approaching. Have you decided on a gift to celebrate the main man in your child or nanny-kid’s life? Is it just me or are men harder to shop for? The Mother’s Day gift we created this year for my nanny mom was an easy decision, but I find that dads want more practical gifts. What’s a nanny to do? Add original touches to a store-bought gift, of course!

Let me present to you a one-of-a-kind wooden bottle caddy!

Materials:

  • Wooden Bottle Caddy (I got this one from World Market for less than $10!)
  • Acrylic Craft Paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Stencils (optional)
  • Sandpaper (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Lightly sand all wooden surfaces. Wipe down with a damp cloth to remove debris.
  2. If you aren’t sanding, start painting right away. If you’d like, use a stencil to add words, numbers or patterns.
  3. Fill with Dad’s favorite beverages!

This gift is inexpensive, super easy, and totally practical for any dad this Father’s Day.

He will love it!
